Japanese ambassador participates in Amman Security Colloquium

AMMAN — Japan’s ambassador to Jordan Shimazaki Kaoru on Wednesday participated in the Amman Security Colloquium as a panellist in the panel titled “Maritime Security in the Red Sea and Gulfs of Aden and Oman: An Update”.
In the panel discussion joined by Senator Mahmoud Abu Jumaa and Brig. Fadel Kaseb of Arab Institute of Security Studies, the ambassador highlighted the vision of Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) and Japan’s manifold efforts to achieve it, said a Japanese embassy statement.
Stressing that “FOIP can only be achieved by sharing the vision of free and open maritime order with a wide-range of partners,” he expressed Japan’s willingness to continue coordination and cooperation with partners in the region including Jordan for FOIP.
