AMMAN — Investment Minister Khairy Amr and Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan Shimazaki Kaoru discussed ways to develop cooperation mechanisms between the sides in several economic and investment fields, as well as cooperation between the Jordanian and Japanese private sectors.
During the meeting, Amr reviewed the top investment opportunities and characteristics of Jordan, such as economic and investment laws and its relations with other countries through free trade agreements that enable Jordanian products to reach more than 1.5 billion consumers around the world, according to a ministry statement.
Kaoru commended the “deep-rooted” relations between the countries, saying that Japan is interested in making the Kingdom a regional hub for major Japanese companies.
The ambassador also said that Jordan is an investment attractive destination and enjoys various characteristics to become a regional hub for companies, the statement said.
