Suspect arrested for firing shots in Balqa

AMMAN — A joint security force, comprising personnel of the Balqa police, criminal investigation and preventive security departments, on Thursday dawn arrested a suspect for firing shots two days earlier in front of the Balqa Applied University.

A security source said that the suspect, who was arrested during a raid on his residence, has a criminal record and is believed to making the firings that injured two people for previous disputes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The injured were listed in fair condition, the source noted.  Searching the residence, security agents seized the gun “that was used for the shooting”, the source said, adding that the suspect will be referred to judicial authorities after initial investigation.
