AMMAN — Head of the Lower House’s Energy Committee Deputy Jamal Gammo on Sunday stressed the importance of supporting the strategy of exploring for oil and gas in Jordan.
At a committee meeting, attended by Energy Minister Mohammad Hamed, Gammo demanded detailed information on Transeuro Energy Corporation tasked with developing the Hamzah Gas Field in Azraq.
He also called for revisiting the exploration process in Jordan to ensure that only qualified companies, rather than “ghost” firms are contracted.
