House panel discusses impact of dip in fuel prices

AMMAN — Stakeholders will reconsider transportation fares, the price of cooking gas cylinders and other public services if fuel prices decrease at the end of December, head of the Lower House’s Energy and Mineral Resources Committee Jamal Gammoh said Monday.
At a committee meeting, Gammoh said the panel listened to a briefing presented by stakeholders on the impact of reducing oil prices on transportation fares, prices of goods and services such as electricity and the industrial sector.
Transport Minister Lina Shbeeb and Energy Ministry Secretary General Ghaleb Maabrah also attended the meeting.
