AMMAN — The political modernsation path is the crucial aspect to realise stability that regulates the economic and administrative life following constitutional amendments and amendments to the elections and political parties laws, Political and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Wajih Azaizeh said on Thursday.
Attending a consultative forum titled "The impact of political modernisation on the human rights status in Jordan," organised by the Al Hayat Centre (RASED) with the support of the Swiss embassy in Amman, Azaizeh said that laws governing the political life have granted a "historical" opportunity for women, youth and persons with disabilities to enhance their participation in the political life, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Swiss Ambassador to Amman Emilija Georgieva commended the Kingdom's political, economic and administrative reform paths that gave priority to human rights.
