Gendarmerie officer laid to rest

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Corporal Ali Mohammad Ali Zreiqat was laid to rest on Wednesday in the capital’s Arjan District in a military funeral.
The Gendarmerie Department on Tuesday confirmed that Zreiqat “fell martyr” in Bahrain on Monday.
Bahrain’s Ambassador in Amman Nasser Kaabi attended the funeral.
An official said Zreiqat was working with the joint training mission with Bahrain security forces, “part of a cooperation programme which has been going on for several years”.
The Gendarmerie Department expressed its condolences over the martyrdom of Zreiqat “who passed away in the line of duty”.
Also on Tuesday, Bahrain King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifah sent a cable of condolences to the family of Zreiqat.
