5,700 head of cattle slaughtered during first half of Ramadan — GAM

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said the number of slaughtered cattle during the first 15 days of the fasting month of Ramadan reached 5,700 head; 3,969 sheep and 1,732 cows, in addition to 475 chickens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported quoting GAM slaughterhouses director Yasar Khitan on Monday. Khitan said the number of field inspections during the same period reached 316, with 30 fines issued against violating institutions.
