3.5-magnitude quake recorded in Jordan Valley — JSO

AMMAN — An earthquake measuring 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Jordan Valley on Monday, according to the Jordan Seismological Observatory (JSO).
The earthquake, reported at 5:38am, hit the area some 24 kilometres west of Irbid and was felt by the residents of the Kingdom’s northwestern regions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JSO also recorded another earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale at a depth of 10km on the Palestinian coast, some 50 kilometres northwest of Haifa, at 6:53 am.
