AMMAN — All Jordanians heading to Aqaba from various governorates can enter the coastal city without presenting a certificate proving that they have tested negative for COVID-19, Aqaba Governor Ghassan Kayed said on Monday.
In remarks to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Kayed said that the commitment of Aqaba’s residents in applying the government’s regulations to counter the COVID-19 pandemic have contributed to preserving the city and registering zero cases.
He said that the decision aims at facilitating procedures for employees who live outside the southern governorate.
Government departments in the Kingdom resumed work as of Tuesday, Petra reported.
