RJ super sales go on — Merry Christmas promo extended until December 20

Due to the high demand that Royal Jordanian (RJ) end-of-year sales promotion — ”Merry Reasons to Travel” — is witnessing during the festive season and in celebration of RJ’s 54th anniversary, the airline has extended the promotion till December 20.

This Christmas gift to RJ’s customers was globally launched between December 3 and 14, for travel that takes place between January 15 and May 10, 2018. But, due to the growing demand on this offer through RJ’s different sales channels, RJ positively responded to its guests wish to extend this promo for another week.

“Merry Reasons to Travel” targets customers who wish to purchase round-trip, Economy Class tickets, with a stay for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of one month at the place of destination. 

Royal Jordanian celebrates birthday with 54 per cent discount

AMMAN — Royal Jordanian is offering a discount of up to 54 per cent on its fares in celebration of the airline’s 54th anniversary on Friday. The offer will be valid for 24 hours on December 15, 2017, and is available through its online channels: www.rj.com and RJ’s mobile application.

This sales promotion will apply to fares to and from all of RJ’s 44 global destinations in both economy and crown class cabin, for travel validity between January 15, 2018 and December 31, 2018. 

QRTA, Al Marji’ Publications sign cooperation agreement

Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) has signed a cooperation agreement with Al Marji’ Publications to promote the upcoming Teacher Skills Forum in March 2018.

“We want to thank Al Marji’ Publications for this cooperation and we look forward to expose outstanding content in the field of education…,” Haif Bannayan, QRTA CEO said at the signing of the agreement.

The Teacher Skills Forum seeks to strengthen teacher skills in the Middle East and North Africa region by providing teachers from the Arab world with modern and creative strategies and innovative teaching techniques.

Under the theme of “Growth Beyond Grades”, around 1,500 educators from all over the world will be attending this year’s 4th Teacher Skills Forum at the Dead Sea.

Aqaba Container Terminal receives most coveted award in Dubai

Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) received several international accolades at two award ceremonies that took place in Dubai on November 28 and December 4, thus placing Aqaba at the fore front of the maritime excellence in the busiest hub of the region.

The two awards ceremonies were attended by close to 600 experts and leaders from the Maritime Industry, including leading global shipping lines, ports and terminals operators, tankers, shipyards, maritime insurance, maritime training centres and port authorities.

At Lloyd’s List South Asia, Middle East & Africa Award ceremony, ACT’s operational excellence was underlined repeatedly by the independent panel of maritime experts who nominated the Jordanian container terminal as finalist for three most coveted awards: the Port Operator Award, the Safety Award and the Hutchinson Environment Award.

Few days later, ACT received the Most Sustainable Port Development Award from the panel of judges of the Transport Arabia Excellence Awards. At the ceremony, ACT was commended for its regional leadership in the field of operational reliability, safety and security and for its exceptional efforts to constantly promoting environmental conservation.

Royal Jordanian (RJ) has launched another global sales campaign as a Christmas season gift for its customers in this holiday season. Its goal is to offer affordable fares for everyone.

The “Merry Reasons to Travel” campaign, which offers incredible low fares, is launched in Jordan and all worldwide RJ markets.

RJ offers online multi-currency pricing

Royal Jordanian (RJ) customers can now purchase their online air tickets and services in as many as 150 currencies through a feature that is now available on www.rj.com and RJ mobile App.

The feature enables the airline to set prices in currencies that local and international customers know and feel more comfortable with.

Not only does RJ provide its website visitors with great pricing and a desirable tool but it also gives them various payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Real-time Banking, Alipay, e-fawateercom and other options.

President/CEO Stefan Pichler commented: “We are expanding our e-services to our customers for enhanced online shopping experience. With the multi-currency pricing (MPC), we now offer cardholders the convenience to shop, view prices and pay in the currency of their choice.

RJ launches new products with Optiontown

AMMAN — Royal Jordanian (RJ) on Tuesday launched four new products to enhance its guests’ choice, in coordination with Optiontown, a world pioneer in developing innovative travel options. The first option is the flight pass option which RJ passengers can access on the airline’s website www.rj.com, and it allows them to purchase multiple tickets bundled to one or more destinations on RJ’s global route network at fixed, pre-set and highly attractive fares per flight, offering up to 50 per cent discounted rates.

The options also include preferred seat option and excess baggage option which allows passengers to save money and the hassle of paying for excess baggage last minute at the airport by buying this service from the RJ website at a discounted price, with the ability to buy a bulk of excess baggage, which is a baggage pass that can be redeemed upon passengers’ desire.

The fourth one is the Lounge Pass Option, underwhich  RJ travellers can get all the frills and perks associated with the CrownLounge without being a Crown Class passenger. “At RJ, we are on the move. We want to become a customer champion brand, so we need a pipeline of new products at attractive prices to redefine travel for our guests,” RJ President/CEO Stefan Pichler commented. 

SGBJ, Al Marji’ Publications renew partnership

Societe Generale de Banque — Jordanie (SGBJ) renewed its partnership agreement with Al Marji’ Publications for the fifth consecutive year.

“We are pleased with our partnership with Al Marji’ Publications and are glad to promote SGBJ’s products and various activities and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives through Family Flavours and Nakahat ‘Ailiyeh magazines — both distinguished in the Jordanian market,” said Nadim Abaouat, general manager of SGBJ at the signing.

Boeing, RJ announce strategic training agreement

Boeing and Royal Jordanian (RJ) Airlines on Tuesday announced the carrier has selected Boeing to provide its 787 flight training. Under the five-year strategic agreement, announced at the 2017 Dubai Air Show, Boeing will provide RJ with a comprehensive training solution, including pilot type-rating and recurrent training at its London Gatwick training campus.

“We are excited by Boeing’s proven training expertise,” said Stefan Pichler, RJ’s president and chief executive officer.

“To attract a new generation of pilots, we need to inspire them and train them in new ways, and Boeing is at the forefront of developing innovative training methods.

As one of the first 787 customers for the region, this partnership with Royal Jordanian Airlines demonstrates the strength of our relationship with this key customer,” said David Longridge, vice president of Commercial Services Sales for Boeing Global Services.

“Royal Jordanian recognises the quality of our training and the value of using Boeing to provide this service.” Over the next 20 years, Boeing projects a global demand for more than 1.2 million pilots and technicians with more than 10 per cent of that driven by the Middle East.
