RJ adds 7 more global cities to its network

Royal Jordanian (RJ) expanded its codeshare agreements with Turkish Airlines and Malaysia Airlines, giving its guests the option to travel to more destinations with competitive fares and extra convenience.

The expansion of the codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines, which has been in place since 2015, added three new cities to RJ passengers' list of potential destinations: Milan, Sofia and Sarajevo, which are sold in connection with RJ’s Amman-Istanbul flights.

The codeshare expansion agreement with Malaysia Airlines, signed in 2010, gives RJ passengers access to four new destinations: Langkawi, Penang, Sydney and Melbourne, all sold in connection with RJ’s Kuala Lumpur flight.

RJ has 15 codeshare agreements with global airlines, including with oneworld carriers and with international airlines. 

RJ wins award for excellence in driving revenue

During the recent Aviation Festival Europe, Royal Jordanian (RJ) was highly commended by SimpliFlying Award for Excellence in Social Media, in the “Best Airline in Driving Revenue” category, because of its innovative and targeted campaigns on social media that generate sales.

Royal Jordanian (RJ) is now offering its passengers the opportunity to be even more comfortable onboard by enabling them to choose their preferred seat in advance, through RJ’s website www.rj.com, at a nominal price of up to 40% less than the price they would pay for a preferred seat at the airport.

Economy class passengers can now easily book a seat of their choice on an exit row, which offers more leg space, aisle or window. They can also select a front-row seat when travelling with family and children, which enables them to experience a comfortable journey at a low price.

Up to 50% discount when you pre-purchase excess baggage with RJ

With Royal Jordanian’s (RJ’s) new excess baggage services, you can now save money and excess baggage online from the comfort of your home at a discounted price that reaches up to 50 per cent less than the regular price paid at the airport.

The service can also be purchased through RJ’s call centre and its worldwide sales offices. Economy and crown class passengers on RJ direct flights can take benefit from the pre-purchase of excess baggage service by upgrading their bags to a heavy piece or purchasing additional bags.

RJ is also introducing the “baggage pass”, enabling the RJ customer to buy a bulk of excess baggage for multiple trips at an even lower price, which can be redeemed upon his/her desire.

Oneworld wins sixth ‘best airline alliance’ award of the year

Oneworld has received its sixth ‘best airline alliance” award of 2017 — twice as many as its rival global airline alliances combined. Its latest honour comes from World Travel Awards, which has named it the World’s Leading Airline Alliance — for the 15th year running.

Earlier this month, oneworld was named Best Airline Alliance, for the eighth year running, by Global Traveller in its 2017 GT Tested Reader Survey — and, for the third consecutive year, oneworld was also judged Best Airline Alliance in Business Traveler North America’s 2017 Best in Business Travel Awards.
