UK Int’l School Qualifications favoured by 99% of parents in Jordan — British Council study

AMMAN — New research from the British Council — the United Kingdom's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities — has found that 99 per cent of surveyed parents in Jordan expressed a strong preference for UK International School Qualifications for their children’s education.

Moreover, 53 per cent of Jordanian parents who were surveyed agreed that UK International Qualifications help students get into the work force or into university, said a statement from the British Council.

Using quantitative research, the study looked at Jordanian parents’ awareness and perception of both the British Council and UK International School Qualifications. Its main purpose was to examine and assess parents’ confidence in UK International Qualifications and the British Council’s role in providing these qualifications to it in its Partner Schools. Overall, the research demonstrates that UK International School Qualifications are perceived as a trusted and accredited system, with parents showing high regard for its teachers. Building on these key points, most parents surveyed provided further insights revealing that the British Council is considered a trusted source of information.

The research was conducted and published as part of a campaign by the British Council. The campaign, titled Life Lessons, features notable celebrity spokespersons such as Jordanian actress and producer Saba Mubarak, Syrian superstar actress Kinda Alloush and revered Egyptian child and teen psychologist, Amina Diab. The aim of it is to highlight the educational excellence the British Council provides in Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The campaign focuses on spotlighting the crucial work of the British Council to support its Partner Schools across the region. This work ensures that British Council Partner Schools are well-prepared to deliver the internationally recognised, and highly regarded UK International School Qualifications. This campaign runs alongside a larger, global campaign titled “Together We Go Further”, which aims to raise awareness of UK how International School Qualifications prepare students to tackle the demands of tomorrow’s world and to shape a better future.
