AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah on Monday reiterated Jordan's unwavering commitment to assisting refugees during his visit to the Directorate of Syrian Refuge Affairs.
Maaytah underlined Jordan's role as a host country, which is home to a significant refugee population relative to its global size. This responsibility has far-reaching social and security implications, among others, he noted, highlighting the central role of the Ministry of Interior in managing the four Syrian refugee camps, namely Zaatari, Azraq, Mrajeeb Al Fhood and Hadiqa. During the tour, Maaytah visited the North Amman Licensing Department and inspected the facilities and public services offered, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
