AMMAN — In implementation of Royal directives, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in coordination with the Foreign Ministry and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), has dispatched a new aid plane to Turkey.
The plane was loaded with 14 tonnes of foodstuff to be distributed to people affected by the February earthquake that struck the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli said that the organisation continues to provide people affected by the earthquake with necessary items. Shibli noted that this is the 14th plane that the Kingdom has sent to Turkey since the earthquake struck several areas which claimed thousands of lives and destroyed many neighbourhoods, buildings and roads.
