Rocket explodes over Jordan, no injuries reported

AMMAN — A source at the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) said on Saturday that a rocket exploded in the air over Jordanian territories and no deaths or injuries were reported.
A statement issued by the JAF around 10:25PM on Saturday said that a rocket exploded over the Wadi Aqaraba Valley in Irbid Governorate near the border of Syria.
Shrapnel fell to the ground, and no injuries were reported, according to the statement.
There was additionally no property damage reported, the source said, adding that the army’s engineering teams were dispatched to the site to evaluate the incident.
JAF personnel are closely following up on the situation in the area, according to the source.
The source also discouraged citizens from spreading panic-inducing rumors.
