AMMAN — The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) Sunday honoured a number of “knights” who partook in the leadership-focused initiative "Haqiq" for their achievements in 2020, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The virtual ceremony, held in line with public health measures, was attended by tens of participants who received e-certificates.
Despite the exceptional circumstances that the Kingdom and the world have witnessed in 2020, "Haqiq" champions executed a number of programmes and activities to serve society and its youth, the CPF noted in a statement.
The number of activities undertaken amounted to 139, benefiting 119,000 individuals residing in all governorates.
Activities included conducting disinfection campaigns, distributing masks and gloves, cleaning tourist attractions, in addition to running an Arabic language competition, developing interactive content on social media and recording stories for people who are blind.
CPF CEO Tamam Mango lauded participants’ efforts exerted during the exceptional circumstances.
Mango said that throughout the upcoming period, “more doors will be opened” for youth to join and benefit from Haqiq, as an implementation of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Education, which entails the integration of the initiative in school programmes and activities across the Kingdom, Petra reported.
“Haqiq” targets school students, boys and girls, and aims to develop their abilities in regard to collective work and boosting mental and cognitive skills, Petra reported.
