Jordan condemns Gaziantep terror blast

AMMAN — Jordan on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a wedding ceremony in Gaziantep, Turkey, late Saturday, resulting in the death of at least 51 people.
Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said the "cowardly terrorist act" is but further evidence that terrorist groups are "enemies of humanity" that target innocent people everywhere in the world, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Momani, who is also minister of state for media affairs, highlighted the importance of regional and international unity against terrorist groups and their ideologies, stressing Jordan’s support for Turkey in combating terrorism.
The minister also voiced the government’s condolences to the Turkish government over the death of innocent civilians in the attack and expressed wishes of a speedy recovery to the injured.
