Authorities seize fake medical products

AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) in cooperation with the Preventive Security Department has detained an assistant nurse suspected of manufacturing fake pharmaceuticals, referring him to the attorney general.

A JFDA statement on Sunday said a joint effort resulted in the discovery of a substantial amount of medical products packaged in an unsanitary environment, with fake labels.

The illegal items were seized.
