Pioneer journalist Bassoumi dies

AMMAN — Fawzi Bassoumi, one of the pioneers of journalism in Jordan, died on Saturday.
Born in 1937, Bassoumi was one of the founders of the Jordan Press Association.
He started his career in journalism in 1954, working as a reporter and editor at several local newspapers.
He joined Ad Dustour Arabic daily in 1969.
