AMMAN — The Jordan Transparency Association on Saturday organised a symposium on transparency in the Jordanian media.
Participants included senior journalists and chief editors of daily newspapers.
Speaking at the conference, Al Rai Editor-in-Chief Samir Hiari defined transparency in the media as “objectivity and neutrality”.
Ad Dustour’s Editor-in-Chief Mohammad Tal noted that the seven-year-old Access to Information Law has many constraints and argued that its articles do not help journalists obtain the information they seek.
