AMMAN — Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Saleh Kharabsheh has said that digital transformation is a top priority in the ministry’s strategy that was launched in 2020.
During a recent visit to Schneider Electric Centre for Sustainability, on the sidelines of the COP27 hosted in Sharm El Sheikh, Kharabsheh stressed the ministry’s keenness to check out the latest technologies in the energy and mineral resources field.
The ministry is interested in technologies that will support growth and development while maintaining the environment and realising sustainability.
The minister said that he had a firsthand look at the technological solutions offered by the centre, solutions which could contribute to the ministry's goals of enhancing digital transformation efforts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing a company statement.
Sebastien Riez, North East Africa and Levant Cluster President at Schneider Electric, said that the minister’s visit to the company highlighted the “deep relations” between the two sides.
