Authorities raid farm, seize illegal drilling rig

AMMAN — Authorities on Thursday seized and confiscated a drilling rig that was hidden on a farm in the Hussainiyat area in eastern Mafraq.
The Water Ministry, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that it received a tip from a citizen about the hidden drilling rig for illegal use.
The ministry organised a security campaign in cooperation with the Royal Badia Forces and raided the property.
