US-Jordan trade unit launched in US Chamber of Commerce

AMMAN — The US Chamber of Commerce has launched a unit focusing on the Jordan-US free trade agreement in its offices, to boost investment and trade between both countries, and build the capacities of Jordanian exporters to the US market, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
The launch was attended by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah, US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells, representatives of USAID and the public sectors, in addition to Jordanian businessmen and the US chamber’s team.
American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan’s President Mohammad Bataineh voiced commitment to facilitate the investments’ growth process. The unit was established with funding from the USAID to be a national reference point for the private sector in all matters related to investment and trade between Jordan and the US.
