AMMAN — US Charge d'Affaires Karen Sasahara has lauded the Kingdom’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah.
In a pre-recorded video, released on the occasion of her country’s national day, known as the Fourth of July, Sasahara highlighted that the Jordanian government has “acted promptly” to halt the spread of the coronavirus, pointing out that the number of infections in Jordan are “reasonable” in comparison with other countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
She also praised the government’s “balanced and precise” measures in monitoring public health and the economy, reiterating the two countries’ existing partnerships in various fields, according to Petra.
Sasahara also drew attention to the embassy’s projects implemented in Jordan through USAID and the embassy’s cultural affairs department.
On the national occasion, the US embassy in Amman will hold a fireworks show on Saturday evening near its premises.
