AMMAN — The Urban Women’s Development and Empowerment Project has benefited 319 women to improve their economic and social conditions. The project was implemented by the Queen Zein Al Sharaf Institute for Development (ZENID)’s Women and Gender Empowerment unit.

The project concluded its first two phases, targeting women in Madaba, Sahab, Northern Hashemi and Nuzha, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The six-month project included a number of specialised training courses in economy, financial administration, productive projects management, marketing and courses on how to draw up a budget.

ZENID is a Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development affiliate, which on Wednesday organised a graduation ceremony in Madaba Municipality for 93 female beneficiaries, highlighting the impact of the project on the participants’ lives.
