Three suspects arrested in counterfeit ring

AMMAN – Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents have arrested two women and a man suspected to be involved in currency counterfeiting in Irbid, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said Wednesday.

Irbid AND division received information about two women who allegedly exchange counterfeit US dollars with dinars at shops in Irbid and some other governorates.

AND investigators managed to identify the suspects after collecting evidence, arresting the women and confiscating $2, 600 in fake bills. AND also detained a man who is allegedly involved by supplying the counterfeit money.
