AMMAN — A total of 270 Jordanian and Syrian refugee women benefited from an Italian-funded garment tailoring training programme, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
The programme aimed at improving the standards of living for underprivileged Jordanians and Syrian refugees in Sahab was implemented by Terre des Homes, an Italian international organisation.
Mayor of Sahab Abbas Al Maharmeh said that about 50,000 Syrian refugees live in Sahab, who make up 23.6 per cent of the overall population.
The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
