Slaughterhouse committee reviews sector regulations

AMMAN — The higher permanent national committee for developing the slaughterhouse sector, headed by HRH Princess Alia, held a meeting at the Agriculture Ministry on Wednesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting focused on the regulation of the slaughterhouse sector, ways of handling livestock before and after slaughter, and the importance of technically qualified slaughterhouse staff.
The meeting was attended by Sharifa Surra Bint Ghazi, ministers, and representatives of the Greater Amman Municipality, Jordan Food and Drug Administration, Royal Rangers Department, and the concerned authorities.
