Princess Alia, Amman mayor discuss animal welfare

AMMAN — HRH Princess Alia on Wednesday met with Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji to discuss boosting cooperation between the Greater Amman Municipality and the Princess Alia Foundation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They discussed enhancing cooperation in the field of animal welfare and organising the work of pet shops, as well as humane medical methods to control the population of stray dogs and joint programmes to care for animals.
Sharifa Surra Bint Ghazi, director general of the Princess Alia Foundation, also attended the meeting.
