Russia’s defence minister hails cooperation with Jordan

AMMAN — Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu on Sunday commended the cooperation between his country and Jordan, saying that the liberation of the de-escalation zones in southwest of Syria was the result of “huge” diplomatic efforts exerted by Moscow, Amman and Washington.
In an interview with Russia 24 News Channel, Shoygu described that the liberation of the de-escalation zone of the Syrian regions on the borders with Jordan and Israel as a “huge victory”, and was also the result of precise military operations which helped restore normalcy to life in the southern and western parts of Syria, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
