AMMAN — The sixth regional training course on food safety, organised by the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), kicked off in Amman on Sunday.
Deputising for Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri said that the IAEA requested that the Kingdom host the event due to the country’s good infrastructure.
The training course brought together more than 60 experts representing 38 countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JFDA has achieved “good” progress in food safety, and its lab technicians stood out from others during previous courses, Hammouri said.
