Project to boost food security for Irbid rural women

AMMAN — The National Centre for Agricultural Research, supported by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, on Sunday launched the first stage of a project to boost food security for rural women in Irbid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The project’s first stage in Irbid includes areas in Ramtha, Aidoun, Rahaba and Kufursum. It aims at enabling rural women to establish small enterprises able to create jobs and generate income, Petra quoted the project coordinator in Irbid, Majid Abandeh, as saying.
