AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Tuesday instructed Finance Minister Omar Malhas to follow up on the government’s decision to review the amount of money paid to government representatives on boards of state-owned companies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The premier has called for setting a maximum allowance for such members, to be considered by the ministry, and to return the surplus money to the Treasury. Mulki also instructed Malhas to ensure the implementation of the decision to reduce public expenditure by cutting 10 per cent of every salary that exceeds JD2,000.
