Migration of medical personnel a major challenge for sector — PHA

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday met with the president and members of the Private Hospitals Association (PHA) to discuss achievements and obstacles facing the medical sector.
PHA President Fawzi Hammouri said Jordan has 64 private hospitals, which received 250,000 non-Jordanian patients in 2013.
He noted that the migration of qualified Jordanian medical personnel is the biggest challenge facing the sector.
Ensour directed the concerned ministries to cooperate with the PHA in addressing the problem.
Also Wednesday, the premier met with Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint-Chiefs-of-Staff Committee Gen.
Rashad Mahmood and discussed ways to increase military cooperation.
