Middle East and North Africa ICT Forum to kick off November 16

AMMAN — The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) on Sunday announced the ninth edition of its Middle East and North Africa ICT Forum to be held on November 16 and 17 in the Dead Sea area, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Eighty experts from 28 countries will participate in the forum, Intaj stated.

The forum aims to promote the Jordanian ICT sector and entrepreneurship to regional and international decision makers from the public and private sectors, Digital Economy Minister Ahmad Hanandeh said.

Intaj Board Chairman Eid Sweis noted that the forum also aims to shed light on the role of technology in solving urgent global challenges facing most countries, and especially the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

A number of issues will be discussed over two consecutive days, the most important of which include artificial intelligence and financial technology, smart industries, blockchain technology and metaverses, he said.
