Lower House Speaker receives families of Jenin martyrs

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Wednesday received the family members of martyrs from Jenin. Safadi expressed his pride in the courage of the martyrs and their families, also commending their sacrifices in defending the Palestinian cause, the rights of the Palestinian people and the fight for Palestine's legitimate national rights. The speaker stressed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, has always defended Palestinians' rights in all international arenas, and showed steadfastness in bearing the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. For his part, Assistant Secretary-General of Al Mithaq Party, Rifat Tawil, said that the visit reflects the delegates' appreciation for King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein’s stances towards the Palestinian people.
