AMMAN — The Zionist entity’s heinous massacres on the land of Palestine, most recently targeting hospitals, shows that the occupying power is a "terrorist entity" rooted in extremism and governed by the logic of criminal gangs, the Lower House said on Wednesday.
During an emergency session, chaired by Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi and attended by the prime minister and the Cabinet members, the MPs called for the need to refer the leaders of the occupation to the International Criminal Court.
They condemned the terrorist actions committed by the Israeli occupation forces against innocent civilians, including patients, women, children and the elderly, both in Gaza in general and in the Baptist Hospital.
The parliamentarians expressed their deep appreciation for the action taken by His Majesty King Abdullah in cancelling Wednesday’s scheduled quadrilateral summit.
Jordan will remain “an unwavering pillar of support for the Palestinians”, the lawmakers said.
They also emphasised that the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem is a Jordanian and Hashemite legacy.
The MPs stressed the need to stand united in support of His Majesty the King's diplomatic efforts to counter the Israeli violations, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The lawmakers reiterated their rejection of any alternative homeland, forced displacement or violation of Palestinian rights, and expressed support for the Palestinians in their quest to establish an independent state on their national soil. They described the Prime Minister of the Occupying Forces, Benjamin Netanyahu, as a "terrorist and perpetrator of infanticide".
The MPs expressed their appreciation for the Palestinian resistance, which has shown remarkable courage and determination against the occupying army that has invaded Palestinian territory. They stressed the utmost importance of a swift end to the brutal aggression on Gaza.
Safadi reaffirmed unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and condemned the injuries sustained by security personnel during marches and protests and stressed that "those who target public property must be held accountable".
