AMMAN — The KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) Annual Conference was held in Amman on Wednesday with the participation of 130 KOICA training programme participants.

As one of KOICA’s grant aid programmes, the association has been providing training programmes to government officials from its partner countries to assist in the development of human resources for socio-economic development, according to a KOICA statement. Since 1991, around 800 Jordanian government officials have been invited to partake in the training programmes in Korea.

Korean Ambassador to Jordan Lee Jae-wan and Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Mothanna Gharaibeh commenced the event, with the ambassador expressing the Korean government’s commitment to assist Jordan on its journey of socio-economic development.

The conference ended with a presentation by KAAJ board members on this year’s activities, in which they expressed their dedication to playing a “significant role” in bridging Jordan and Korea.
