King acquainted with new military products

Made-in-Jordan rifles, pistols presented

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Monday visited the Jordan Armament and Weapon Systems Company where he was acquainted with the new technologies used in manufacturing light weapons in accordance to international military standards.  

During his visit to the company, an affiliate to the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB), His Majesty toured the production lines of the company based in the KADDB industrial zone, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King, accompanied by HRH Prince Hamzah, listened to a briefing by KADDB Director General Brig. Gen. Mohammad Habahbeh on phases of manufacturing guns, rifles and field bayonets.

Habahbeh also acquainted the King with the first production of Jordanian pistols and KADDB rifles, according to the statement. 

Towards the end of the visit, the Supreme Commander praised the advanced level of KADDB and affiliated companies, which help provide JAF and security agencies with defence equipment, especially light weapons.
