Jordan welcomes US proposal in Lebanon-Israel maritime talks

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday welcomed the progress achieved by the US as part of its proposal to demarcate borders between Lebanon and Israel, according to which Lebanon will benefit from gas fields located in the Mediterranean Sea, address economic challenges and achieve security and stability.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul, in a statement, affirmed Jordan's endorsing all steps taken in service of Lebanon’s interest, its security and stability, voicing the Kingdom’s support to Lebanon in tackling challenges.
