Jordan-Qatar investment symposium showcases $1.4 billion investment opportunities

AMMAN — The Ministry of Investment on Tuesday oragnised an investment symposium at the Doha Horticultural Expo.
Titled "Business Environment and Investment Opportunities in Jordan", the symposium was attended by Minister of Investment Khuloud Saqqaf, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali, President of the Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, as well as various Qatari investors and companies.
Saqqaf emphasised the Jordan-Qatar relations and the "substantial" presence of Qatari investors in the Kingdom, whose economic ventures have surpassed $4.5 billion across vital sectors in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister showcased 36 high-value investment opportunities worth $1.4 billion, along with 17 priority economic sectors offering favourable investment conditions and incentives.
Saqqaf also explained efforts to improve investment climate in Jordan as per the Economic Modernisation Vision 2033, noting that these endeavours include establishing the Ministry of Investment as the primary investment authority, enacting legislation such as the Investment Environment Law, and fostering public-private partnerships.
Saqqaf also urged Qatari investors to explore Jordan's evolving business environment, pledging support to facilitate necessary procedures and provide comprehensive support to ensure a rewarding and successful investment experience in Jordan.
