As for Qatar's exports to the Jordanian market, they included various chemical materials such as vehicle lubricants, sulphuric acid, aluminium moulds, paraffin, polyethylene, iron rods, chemical fertilisers, plastic bags and medical solutions.
The trade balance between the two countries has witnessed rapid growth in recent years, fuelled by Qatar's increasing imports of Jordanian food and consumer products, especially over the past two years, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The official statistics from the Qatari Planning and Statistics Authority indicate that the trade balance exceeded 11.5 billion Qatari riyals ($3.17 billion) over the past decade.
