Jordan-Iraq MoU on convict extradition comes into effect

AMMAN — A memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on December 3, 2019 between Jordan and Iraq regarding the extradition of convicts serving custodial sentences came into effect on Thursday, according to the Official Gazette.
The MoU stipulates that it shall apply to those convicted of custodial sentences in Jordan and Iraq, taking into account the conditions of transfer in the MoU, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
