Jordan-Oman MoU on industrial cooperation published in Gazette

AMMAN — Provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Jordan and Oman to strengthen and develop industrial cooperation were published in the Official Gazette on Saturday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

According to the MoU, industrial establishments shall work jointly to enhance and modernise existing industries and expand their scope, in a manner compatible with requirements and needs of foreign market and the two sides’ local market.

The MoU also entails that the two sides shall benefit from the advantages of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area in facilitating the flow of goods. According to the memorandum, the two parties will exchange technical expertise and knowledge related to the preparation and implementation of industrial policies and strategies, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial interdependence, rules of origin, establishment, management and promotion of industrial cities, and incubators. They will also conduct industrial training, exchange visits, and hold joint conferences and seminars.
