Jordan favourable destination for Qatari businesspeople — chamber of commerce

AMMAN — Jordanian-Qatari relations are "solid" and "deep-rooted" at various levels, especially in economic and commercial fields, said President of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani on Thursday, highlighting both sides' keenness to advance bilateral relations.

During an interview with the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Sheikh Khalifa said that the economic bilateral ties have grown over the past few years, thanks to mutual visits at the highest levels, cooperation agreements and bilateral memoranda of understanding in various sectors, which increased the volume of trade and investment between both countries.

Highlighting the various Qatari investments in Amman, Sheikh Khalifa stressed that his country intends to invest further in the Kingdom, as it is a favourable destination for Qatari businesspeople given its advanced infrastructure and attractive investment environment, in addition to Jordan's security and stability. The volume of trade between both countries, notably at the private sector level, will increase as well, he added.
