Jordan calls for restraint in Libya, urges extra caution by residing Jordanians

AMMAN — Jordan on Friday stressed the importance of ceasing escalations in Libya and called for calm and restraint, a Foreign Ministry statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
The statement highlighted the importance for adopting a political solution that can guarantee overcoming the crisis in the north African country, in a way that ensures Libya’s unity, security and stability.
The ministry also stressed the need to support the UN’s efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to the Libyan crisis. In light of the recent developments, Sufian Qudah, the ministry’s spokesperson, in another ministry statement, called on Jordanians residing in Libya to exercise extra caution and recommended avoiding gatherings and high-tension areas.
The ministry also asked its citizen to abide by the relevant security regulations issued by the Libyan authorities urging them to directly contact the ministry’s operations centre at 00962795497777 for emergencies.
