AMMAN — The Jordan Medical Association (JMA) on Wednesday said that Health Minister Ghazi Zaben had agreed to grant qualified doctors the title of “qualified specialist”, drop the two-year period condition to accredit holders of foreign certificates before 2001 and make exceptional appointments for graduates of 2012/2013.

These agreements were made during a meeting between JMA President Ali Obous and Zaben to discuss several issues, where Obous said that intensive efforts have resulted in solving several hanging issues, some of which date back to 15 years ago, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The president praised the ministry’s cooperation and support to the JMA demands.
