Japan appoints new ambassador to Jordan

AMMAN — Japan on Wednesday appointed Shunichi Sakurai, 58, as its new ambassador to Jordan.
Sakurai succeeds Junichi Kosuge who had been serving in Amman since April 2011 before being appointed as his country’s ambassador to Hungary.
