AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Monday attended a ceremony organised by the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans (ESARSV), marking the Kingdom's 77th Independence Day and the upcoming wedding of HRH Crown Prince Hussein.

During the ceremony, ESARSV Director-General retired Maj. Gen. Ismail Shobaki emphasised the significance of the Independence Day, the Great Arab Revolt and Army Day.

He also noted how the sacrifices of past countrymen contributed to the journey of independence, stressing that their dedication paved the way for the nation's ongoing progress.

Shobaki also highlighted the occasion of HRH Crown Prince Hussein's wedding.

Issawi honoured retired Lieutenant Saleh Al Hadid, a veteran who fought in Arab Army battles in Palestine in 1948.

The celebration featured inspiring speeches, poetry recitals, among other artistic expressions of Jordanian’s remarkable achievements throughout the Kingdom’s history.
